Today I went 'tubing' down the hiwasee river in TN. And well, when I think of TUBING, I don't think of RAFTING. I am REALLY glad that I got a Fun-yak (kinda like a Kayak but it's inflatable) there were three really bad falls, each at least 4 ft. And on the second one, I flipped over, lost both my shoes and my paddle. Now I can truly say and be familiar with the saying 'up a creek without a paddle'. Anyway, I had to use my hands to get to my sister, who, thank the lord, was able to catch my paddle. And then I got stuck on just about every rock, and I couldn't get out and drag it over because my shoes were about a mile downriver. And on the third fall, there were three routes, the guide told us to go to the left as much as possible, because you'd have a 'better time' (I don't know if he meant more rapids or less rapids. The very left route had a ton of rocks, I was sick of getting stuck ON the rocks. Route two was in the middle with one rock, and the third one was on the far right. So I go down the seemingly easy middle, which had a nasty rapid, but I managed to skirt it. When I got past it, there was a little eddie where I had a moments peace. And the other people there said that I went the way that no one goes. Well, at least I didn't get stuck or flip over. But the rest of the trip was pretty uneventful, and I DID enjoy the SMALL rapids. You know, the ones that don't give you bruises.

I got a nasty burn on my face, arms, and the tops of my legs. I look like a red snapper or something. lol.

I think I deserve a Klondike Bar.

oh and one of the people in my party found one of my shoes. Now I have a souvenir of my first rafting fall. lol

Thank goodness that tomorrow's water adventure is a pool party. heehee
